The Story of The Little Llama
Hello!
Hello 👋🏽 I’m Megan and I am the face behind The Little Llama Play Café in Malton🦙
Originally from York I moved to Malton in 2018 and quickly fell in love with this town.
After first studying Law, I started my Midwifery journey in 2013 and worked in all areas, but mostly on the labour ward where my passion lay.
In later years, I worked in maternity patient safety and governance- a role that has been immensely fulfilling but also increasingly demanding, and difficult to switch off from.
Why?
Having had my first son in a Covid lockdown and my second son following a tumultuous pregnancy, I struggled with a low mood and was struck by how very little places there were locally where I could find some respite.
A fire was ignited and I knew I had to make a change- maybe my calling to support women and families was outside of the NHS after all. And so The Little Llama Play Café was born...
